Folds of Honor, a non-profit foundation that provides academic scholarships to families of fallen or disabled military service members and first responders, has partnered with PGA REACH this Memorial Day Weekend (May 26-29). We are on a mission to positively impact the lives of the families of Veterans and first responders through the game of golf. In partnership with PGA Professionals across the Carolinas Section, we are excited to help raise awareness and funds to support the lives of our nation’s heroes and their families. Register for Patriot Golf Days!

If you are a PGA Professional looking to get your facility involved in Patriot Golf Days, there are many ways for you and your club to raise life-changing educational funds. They include:

 

100 percent of funds donated locally stays in the community where it was raised and 91 cents of every dollar goes directly to scholarships. Additionally, funds raised through the Carolinas Section this Memorial Day Weekend will be matched dollar-for-dollar (up to $11,000) by PGA REACH and will support our sections PGA HOPE programs!

Through Sets Fore Vets, your unused or gently used set of clubs can be put directly into the hands of a Veteran learning the game of golf or continuing on their golf journey. The program is designed to help provide golf clubs and bags to the people who have put their lives on the line for our country. Our foundation and professionals are proud to support the Veteran community across the Carolinas.

Donation Overview

New or gently used golf equipment or golf bags WILL BE ACCEPTED. Bundled golf equipment is strongly preferred:

    • Full or Complete collection of (14) clubs with golf bag
    • Individual golf bag
    • Set of fairway woods
    • Set of irons
    • Set of wedges
    • Individual driver
    • Individual putter

 

PGA Reach Carolinas is a 501 (C) (3) charity, and all donations are tax deductible.

The Military and Veterans Law Clinic primarily serves low income former servicemembers who are currently precluded from receiving Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) health care and disability benefits because of their discharge status. Students represent clients before military administrative boards and the VA. Students may also serve as expert veterans benefits consultants for active duty military defense counsel.

Look no further than VetWORKS, an initiative of the PGA REACH Carolinas Foundation that helps pair military veterans with employment opportunities at Carolinas Section golf courses. This initiative began in 2022 and has matched a number of PGA HOPE Graduates with part-time or full-time positions.
