Northeastern
North Carolina, the Outer Banks and Cypress Landing in
Chocowinity escaped the wrath of the two hurricanes thank took
aim at the Carolinas. Washington Yacht and Country Club and all
club south were hit with high winds and some flooding. I was
informed by the former General Manager that The Country Club of
the Crystal Coast was hit hard and may not reopen. Any Golf
Professional or facility seeking PGA of America Golf Relief and
Assistance Funds should contact the Section Office.
Employment
Overall the
Atlantic Area is consistent with PGA staffing over the past 12
months.
Washington Yacht & Country Club in Washington is searching a
1st Assistant Golf Professional.

Get Golf
Ready offers introductory group lessons as a way for PGA
Professionals to attract new and returning golfers. To host Get
Golf Ready at your facility, simply decide that it is the right
adult introductory product for your facility to create new
customers.
PGA Junior League for 2019
PGA Junior
League is a fun, social, and inclusive opportunity for boys and
girls, ages 13 & under, to enjoy the game of golf. Like other
recreational youth sports, participants wear numbered jerseys and
play on teams with friends. Our Carolinas PGA Professionals
captain teams in a popular two-person scramble format which
reinforces the team concept and creates a nurturing environment
for learning the game of golf. More than 2,900 juniors across the
Carolinas participate in this entry point to the game.
