Running For REACH
I’ve been fortunate to do some pretty cool things in my life, and running in the New York City Marathon ranks near the top. Don’t get me wrong, it’s one of the hardest things I have ever done, but there is something really special about spending the day running through the five New York City boroughs with 50,000 new friends and over 2 million spectators lining the 26.2 mile course.
It’s a long day, as it took about 3 hours to get from my hotel to the starting line after riding a subway, a ferry, and a bus. It was also hot and humid, which is not normal November weather in New York of course. While I felt good for most of the race, my legs cramped for the last 6 miles but…it was still amazing! I was able to knock almost 18 minutes off of my time from 2021, and even better, thanks to the kindness of generous people, I was able to raise almost $4,700 for
PGA REACH.
But now I want to do more, so I have asked the Carolinas PGA to open up a fundraising link, this time to benefit our local
PGA REACH Carolinas. We will only be accepting donations through Giving Tuesday (November 29th, 2022), but your donation will have a massive impact at the local level.
