Farewell, Hannah!

The Section has the bittersweet announcement that our Sunny Harris Hutchinson PGA WORKS Fellow, Hannah Gostonczik’s last day is a week from today, March 15th. She has been a tremendous asset to PGA REACH Carolinas and the entire CPGA team and will start as the Program Coordinator with the Congaree Foundation affiliated with Congaree Golf Club in Ridgeland, SC in late March.

See this note from Hannah:

Dear All,
It’s hard to describe how deep my gratitudes goes for all of the PGA Members and Carolinas PGA Section staff members. Accepting the S.H.H PGA WORKS Fellowship has been one of the best career decisions I’ve ever made for myself. The warm welcome I received coming into the Carolinas Section is something I will never forget.  Some may not know that I was originally supposed to start in April 2020, but had to postpone my start date until April 2021 due to the pandemic. The connections I’ve made and the experiences I’ve had made the wait so worth it.
The list of exciting, wonderful experiences this fellowship has given me is a long one. A few highlights include working in Kiawah Island for the 2021 PGA Championship, spending a week in Charlotte, NC at the Quail Hollow Club shadowing different departments for the Wells Fargo Championship, connecting with PGA Members all over the Carolinas, attending the PGA Show, and getting to know my section colleagues. I have made so many memories in such a short amount of time.
I have recently accepted the Program Coordinator position with the Congaree Foundation affiliated with Congaree Golf Club in Ridgeland, SC. The Foundation created a collegiate preparatory program for underserved high schoolers who aspire to play college golf. I will be onboarding these students, while also overseeing the logistics of the Foundation’s local and global initiatives.
I’m incredibly excited to move onto my next role but the farewell is bittersweet. The wonderful team at the Carolinas PGA Section have not only been my colleagues, but also my dear friends and I will miss them immensely. I’m comforted in knowing that I will still be in the Carolinas so this is not goodbye but see you later.
Thank you all so much,
Hannah
