PINEHURST, NC (December 5, 2023) – The 2023 E-Z-GO CPGA Pro-Pro Championship was hosted in Pinehurst, North Carolina once again where 334 Carolinas PGA Professionals and Associates took on Mid South Club, Pinehurst No. 6, and Forest Creek Golf Club’s South Course in a three-day team event. Head Men’s Golf Coach at Davidson College Tim Straub, PGA and Head Men’s Golf Coach at Wake Forest University Jerry Haas, PGA put to bed the stereotype that “those that can’t do, teach.” The pair sat in second place after the first round, coming in at 8-under-par at Forest Creek Golf Club, and continued strong in the second round by going bogey-free at Mid South Club with a 7-under 64.

“This is our fourth time winning, we seem to gel pretty well,” Haas stated after the round, “when I’m out of a hole, he’s in it and when he’s in a hole I’m out of it so it’s been a nice marriage, if you will.”
Finishing at 20-under-par complete with a 67 at Pinehurst No. 6, Straub and Haas took home the hardware and were congratulated by Dennis Brouillard, the Senior Territory Sales Manager for Title Partner E-Z-GO.
