The PGA REACH Carolinas Birdie Blitz is an all day fundraising event to support our PGA REACH Carolinas Foundation and specifically our PGA HOPE Carolinas program (Helping Our Patriots Everywhere), the Military pillar of PGA REACH Carolinas. Teams of two will commit to raising a minimum of $1,000 in donations from friends & family, with a goal of getting to $2,000 or more. Teams will play Pinewild CC of Pinehurst, with all holes set up as par 3’s, for five hours in hopes of getting as many birdies as possible. The day will conclude with a party at 3 PM with exciting entertainment, food, prizes, and more! You won’t want to miss out on this event that not only creates lasting memories for you and your loved ones but will also impact and save lives through the game of golf. You can expect a day full of fun! Birdie Blitz includes 5 hours of Par 3 golf, tee gifts, breakfast, lunch, and refreshments! The format is 2-Person Captain’s Choice: Birdie or Bust. The event will wrap up with a reception at 3PM that will include drinks, entertainment, raffle prizes, and more so you won't wan to miss out!

PGA HOPE Carolinas (Helping Our Patriots Everywhere) is the flagship program of the PGA REACH Carolinas Foundation that helps military veterans become involved in the game of golf. It is an adaptive golf program offered by our PGA Professionals as a rehabilitation tool to improve our Veterans’ quality of life by enhancing their mental, social, physical, and emotional well-being. There is NO COST to our Veterans for participating in the program. We serve our Veterans at twenty-five locations in North and South Carolina with an emphasis on helping those with physical and emotional disabilities that would most benefit from our initiatives.
Since its inception in 1923, the Carolinas PGA Section has been committed to nurturing and improving the quality of the game for the thousands of golfers using its member facilities. The largest of the PGA’s forty-one sections, the Carolinas PGA Section of the Professional Golfers’ Association boasts nearly 2,300 professional members and represents more than 700 golf facilities within North and South Carolina as well as portions of southern Virginia.
