Cory Armstrong

Assistant Executive Director, Tournaments & Business Development

Cory Armstrong is the Assistant Executive Director for Tournaments & Business Development.  He oversees the tournament department and all corporate partnerships.  He has been an employee of the Section since 2004 and has also served in the positions of Tournament Official, Senior Tournament Official, and Tournament Director.  Prior to joining our team, he spent time with the Michigan and Southern Ohio PGA Sections.

Cory is a native of Hagerstown, MD and a proud graduate of West Virginia University’s Sport Management Program.  Alas, neither his high school or college had a golf team until after he left.  Interesting coincidence.  Were they waiting for him to leave?  Instead of playing golf at WVU, Cory was a four-year member of the “Pride of West Virginia” Marching Band Drumline.

Cory obviously enjoys playing golf, but he also likes running, mountain biking, and sipping craft beer.
