On
October 30, we held an MSR and Pro Pro event
at Brier Creek. Chris Finn from Par 4 Success gave a very
enlightening and informative presentation on golf fitness.
Following the presentation, 20 teams participated in the Skechers
Pro Pro Tournament. David Nastalski and Daniel Spurling shot a
very impressive round of 62. They also earned the right to
represent the Triangle Area in the Global Golf Sales Par 3
Challenge to be held in Pinehurst at the end of November.

HOPE Training Session - Nov 5
|
|
On November 5, Judy Alvarez joined numerous
Carolinas Section Professionals at the Duke University Golf
Club. The day was spent learning about various challenges
associated with giving golf lessons to those that have served and
protected the country. It was a tremendous learning
experience and all of those that attended came away with a new
appreciation for what our sport can do to help so many people.

The SAS
Championship was held at Prestonwood Country Club on October
8-14. Events associated with the tournament included a 5K Road
Race, a Family Day and Golf Clinic and free 5-minute lessons
given by PGA Professionals to all interested spectators at the SAS
Championship. The lessons were a tremendous success so a big
thanks goes out to all those who participated and to Larry Conner
at Prestonwood for setting up the event.
