Charlotte, NC – The second annual TPC Freedom Foundation Charity Pro-Am was a complete success raising a total of $90,000 for PGA REACH Carolinas and its PGA HOPE programing. Trump National Charlotte provided the perfect venue for the fun-filled day of play where 18 teams competed in this year’s charity Pro-Am.

The event kicked off with a concert featuring country music artist Tyler Farr the night before, where 100% of the ticket proceeds benefited PGA REACH Carolinas. A little rain throughout play didn’t stop the teams from having a fantastic day including various competitions and a catered lunch.

In the end, the Freightliner team of Jason Franklin (a), Aaron Franklin (a), Joey Golinski (a), Mike Hartin (a), and PGA Professional Robbie Edwards won the shamble format competition at -16 under. The TPC Freedom Foundation also provided support for three Veteran teams made up of PGA HOPE participants and local Veterans, including Carolinas PGA HOPE Ambassador and former US Army Cavalry Scout Colton Hensley.

A reception was held post-tournament where PGA REACH Trustee and Total Packaging Company Owner and President Kent Schneider and Carolinas PGA CEO/Executive Director Jeff Abbot shared the powerful impact PGA HOPE has on the lives of countless United States Veterans across the country, and over 1,300 Veterans in the Carolinas.

“Many programs enhance lives,” explains Jeff Abbot, “But PGA HOPE is a program that can actually save lives.”
