Entry Fee: *Entry fee includes golf fees and cart, tee gift, post round food and beverage, prizes and awards.
$150 – Amateurs
$50 – Professionals
Rental hickory golf equipment is free of charge and provided if needed. *Due to the difficulty and cost of obtaining hickory sets, not everybody will be provided with their own set. Teams of 4 may be asked to share 2 sets.
Format:
Teams will consist of 3 Amateurs and 1 Professional
1 best ball gross plus 1 best ball net (2 different balls)
All proceeds will benefit the First Tee-Sandhills
Payment will be cash only
This event will follow the Society of Hickory Golfers and Carolinas PGA Section tournament regulations.
Equipment: Pre-1935 woods, original hickory irons, original hickory putters or reproductions – following the approved guidelines established by the Society of Hickory Golfers. (www.hickorygolfers.com)
Handicap: Society of Hickory Golf and/or GHIN
*Professionals must have an active GHIN. All players with a SoHG handicap must use that number and not their GHIN. For players without a SoHG, the following rules will apply to their GHIN handicap:
professionals – no strokes added
index 3.9 or less – 3 strokes added to course handicap
index 4.0- 8.0 – 4 strokes added to course handicap
index 8.1 – 14.0 – 5 strokes added to course handicap
index 14.1-21.0 – 6 strokes added to course handicap
index 21.1 and over – 7 strokes added to course handicap
