Monday – Wednesday, January 6-8, 2020

Join us for a great day of information on how to operate and sustain a successful junior golf program! Information will include how to utilize PGA.Coach/ADM teaching methods, Operation 36 Golf programming and also how PGA Jr. League can help create a fun and interactive junior golf program.

Featured speakers will include Ted Logan, PGA of America Director of ADM, Carolinas PGA Members and founders of Operation 36; Matt Reagan & Ryan Dailey and Regional League Manager Daryl Batey, PGA.

About Matt Reagan & Ryan Dailey: Ryan Dailey, PGA and Matt Reagan, PGA are the co-founders of the Operation 36 Golf Program. They have dedicated nearly a decade to exploring how to best design the most effective programs and technology to introduce and progress a beginner (juniors and adults) in playing the sport, while raising the living standard of the Golf Professional.

They now have over 470 facilities leveraging the Operation 36 Program and have close to 30,000 participants. Operation 36 is headquartered in Garner, NC. It consists of 10 team members, 8 of which are Golf Professionals who support every location as a Program Advisor to ensure success.

Ryan is a Class A PGA Professional, and was the 2013 Carolinas PGA Junior Golf Leader. Matt is also a Class A PGA Professional and was the 2014 Carolinas PGA Youth Player Development Award recipient. Combined they have taught over 3000 group academy classes to beginners and have over 30 years combined coaching experience.

About Ted Logan:                 Ted Logan is the Director, American Development Model with the PGA of America.
In his role he is responsible for the integration of Coaching and Player Development programming internally and externally through stakeholders and ensuring strategies are appropriately positioned in accordance with the PGA of America Long Term Strategic Plan.

Prior to working with the PGA of America Logan managed the Player Development initiatives of Golf Canada.  He was charged with increasing participation and excellence within the Sport of Golf.

Logan started his professional career with RBC as a member of their marketing team managing campaigns on behalf of various Business Units within the financial services company.

Logan holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Western Ontario, a Sports Marketing diploma from George Brown College and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).  He and his wife, Natasha, are parents of two daughters and reside in Jupiter, FL.

About Daryl Batey:                 A 21-year PGA member, Batey served on the Board of Directors for the Georgia PGA Section and was Chairman of the Education Committee.

He sits on the Board of Directors for the East Lake Family YMCA and the Women In Golf Foundation, Inc. both in Atlanta, GA.  He was also very active in teaching the game of golf to all students in and around the Atlanta area. He received many Georgia Section PGA Awards including Merchandiser of the Year (Public Category), Growth of the Game (Player Development) and the Horton Smith Award (Education Excellence). He was also elected into the African American Golfers Hall of Fame in 2018.

Batey spent twelve years as PGA head professional at Charlie Yates Golf Course at East Lake in Atlanta, Ga., home course for The First Tee of East Lake. To round out his busy schedule, Batey was the head golf coach at Spelman College and oversaw the golf education programs at Emory University and Agnes Scott College – all three in the Atlanta area.

Daryl Batey served five years as a Player Development Regional Manager (PDRM) for PGA of America before taking his current role as Regional League Manager (RLM) for the Carolinas and Georgia Sections for PGA Jr. League.

Daryl was born and reared in Raleigh, NC where he attended public schools and graduated from Needham B. Broughton

High School. He attended South Carolina State University on a golf scholarship where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in English with a minor in Business.  He competed in golf all four years while at SCSU.

Daryl is married to Melba and they have two adult kids Jamie and Cameron.
