PGA Family Golf

Everything’s more fun as a team, and golf is no exception — Ryder Cup, anyone? Parent-child events offer a great opportunity for duos to team up, but where does that leave other immediate and extended family members?
You might be familiar with PGA Jr. League, the PGA of America’s team-based youth golf program. PGA Family Golf was created to bring family members off the sidelines and onto the course together as a team.

Teams of approximately 2-4 family members with at least one adult and one junior can participate in PGA Family Golf events. The recommended setup is a 9-hole, par 3 with a team scramble or alternate shot format, but facilities and host PGA Professionals have the flexibility to structure the event in any way they see fit. The goal is to create an event or event series that welcomes and accommodates golfers of all ages and skill levels. To learn more about PGA Family Golf, CLICK HERE!

2024 PGA Family Golf Registration is Open!

PGA Family Golf registration for the 2024 season is now open!

To register for a PGA Family Golf event, please visit our Find Events page. You can search for events by location, PGA Coach Name, or Facility Name.. An adult guardian should be creating an account for themselves. After creating or logging into your account, you will enter your team information as part of the registration.

  • Note: PGA Family Golf accounts are the same as PGA Jr. League. If you have previously registered a player for PGA Jr. League, you can use the same MyPGA account to register for PGA Family Golf.

In PGA Family Golf, your family is your team.

Who is on the team?
  • 2-4 players per team
  • Minimum pair of one adult and one junior per team, however team composition is flexible at the local level
Family-friendly formats

The recommended PGA Family Golf format is a team scramble, but facilities have flexibility to adjust the format as needed.

    • SCRAMBLE: Similar to the format that PGA Jr. League uses, all players on a team hit drives. The best shot is selected, then each player plays from the selected spot, and this process continues until the ball is holed.
One champion, all winners
  • It’s a friendly competition that everyone walks away with quality time well spent as a family.
Social connection and fun
  • PGA Family Golf is all about fun. Your host facility might have some extra activities planned around the event designed to bring out the kid in everyone.

This PGA Facility Guide is designed to be a quick-guide reference for you before, during, and after your seasons. However, you can also find resources and materials referenced here in the Coach Resource Center from your dashboard when logged into PGAFamilyGolf.com.
