2024 Johnny Palmer Trophy

The Johnny Palmer Trophy is awarded to the Section Member who has the lowest stroke average in a given calendar year in the Players Championship, Carolinas Open, NC Open, SC Open, and Section Professional Championship.  Associates are not eligible. To be eligible for this award, the Member must have a score for a minimum of ten (10) rounds in the events previously stated.  If a Member has more than ten (10) rounds, the lowest ten (10) rounds recorded count.

The 2024 Johnny Palmer Trophy was earned by Jon Mayer, PGA. Mayer achieved an impressive scoring average of 68.5 during the 2024 season. His accomplishments include victories at the 73rd South Carolina Open, presented by Nightingale’s Nursing, and the Rolex CPGA Match Play Championship. Mayer also competed at the 2024 PGA Professional Championship at PGA Frisco and the PGA Tour’s Myrtle Beach Classic at the Dunes Club.
