TD Bank is Proud to Help Provide Continued Opportunities for Disabled Veterans Through Golf in the Carolinas through its Sponsorship of the 2023 HOPE Cup

Greensboro, North Carolina (October 11, 2023) – TD Bank is proud to support the PGA REACH Carolinas Foundation once again, solidifying its commitment to providing enhanced opportunities for disabled veterans. PGA REACH Carolinas, headquartered in Greensboro, North Carolina, operates twenty-one PGA HOPE Chapters throughout North and South Carolina, with a focus on enriching the lives of veterans through golf.

PGA HOPE (Helping Our Patriots Everywhere) is the flagship military program of PGA REACH, the charitable foundation of the PGA of America. This transformative program introduces golf to veterans with disabilities, aiming to improve their physical, mental, social and emotional well-being. PGA HOPE offers a structured six-to eight-week curriculum, taught by PGA professionals trained in adaptive golf techniques and military cultural competency. Importantly, all programs are fully funded by PGA REACH, ensuring that the cost of programming is entirely free for all veterans.

In addition to its veteran-focused programs, PGA REACH Carolinas also places emphasis on youth outreach and promotes diversity and inclusion through its PGA WORKS Fellowship program.

TD Bank’s generous support will help underwrite PGA HOPE programming throughout North and South Carolina. Additionally, TD Bank will proudly serve as the presenting sponsor for the season-ending HOPE Cup, set to take place at the Kiawah Island Golf Resort on Monday, Nov. 13, 2023. The HOPE Cup offers an all-inclusive trip to the resort for one team of four veterans and one PGA Professional from each of the 21 HOPE Chapters, providing an opportunity for fun and camaraderie in a social season-ending event. The winning team will earn an all-expense-paid trip to compete in the PGA REACH Secretary’s Cup during the 2024 PGA Championship at Valhalla Golf Club in Louisville, Kentucky.
