Giving HOPE to Veterans in Parris Island

Carolinas PGA brings PGA HOPE to Parris Island, SC

Parris Island, SC (March 1, 2019) – PGA Professionals across the Carolinas and Georgia join forces to give HOPE to more veterans in the Low Country. The PGA REACH Carolinas Foundation will be extending PGA HOPE to The Legends Golf Course in Parris Island, South Carolina. This will be the home of the 12th PGA REACH Carolinas PGA HOPE Program; PGA HOPE Parris Island.

The PGA REACH Carolinas Foundation is eager to bring a PGA HOPE Chapter to Parris Island as there is continuous growth in the program and the positive impact PGA HOPE has had on the lives of many Veterans’. This program will help give back to those who have sacrificed and given so much for our country in this area. This PGA HOPE Chapter will bridge the gap for interested Veterans’ who live in the Low Country South Carolina area and in the neighboring Georgia Area.

Dwight Hansen, PGA will embrace the role of PGA HOPE Lead Professional for PGA HOPE Parris Island. Hansen and his staff are ecstatic to serve the many veterans in this area, realizing the genuinely special nature of all this program has to offer. “Starting a new PGA HOPE chapter at such a historic venue as Parris Island is incredibly exciting. Serving this area’s veterans in new ways with the PGA HOPE program is a dream come true for myself and our partner PGA Members who have become involved,” says Hansen. By having a PGA HOPE Chapter in Parris Island, South Carolina, the PGA REACH Carolinas Foundation plans to have huge success at using golf as a form of rehabilitation to serve many more veterans.
