Greensboro, NC –  It was a great day of golf, competition and fun at Grandover Resort as the Carolinas PGA Section welcomed PGA Jr. League All-Star teams from across the Carolinas for the 2026 PGA Jr. League Section Championship on Tuesday, August 11.

With some of the best junior golfers from North and South Carolina coming together, the Section Championship was a celebration of an incredible All-Star season and the hard work put in by players, coaches and families throughout the summer.

The championship featured both the 13u and 17u divisions, with teams competing in stroke play on Grandover Resort’s East Course. After a full day on the course, four teams earned the opportunity to continue their postseason journey and represent the Carolinas PGA Section at the PGA Jr. League Regional Championship at Indian Hills Golf Course in Murfreesboro, TN, this September.

While the competition was a major part of the day, the Section Championship was about much more than the final scores. Players had the opportunity to compete alongside their fellow All-Stars, meet junior golfers from across the Carolinas and create memories with their teammates, coaches and families.

The Carolinas PGA REACH Team would like to extend a huge thank you to every player, coach, family member, and PGA Professional who helped make this year’s PGA Jr. League All-Star season such a success. From local league play to the Section Championship, the dedication and enthusiasm shown by everyone involved continues to make PGA Jr. League such a special part of junior golf in the Carolinas.

A special thank you also goes to Grandover Resort for hosting the 2026 Section Championship and providing an incredible setting for the players, coaches and families to enjoy the day.

Looking Ahead to Regionals

The four Carolinas PGA Section qualifiers will head to Tennessee this September for the PGA Jr. League Regional Championship, where they will take on All-Star teams from across the region.

The Regional Championship will feature an exciting two-day format. Teams will begin with one session of aggregate 18-hole stroke play scramble on Saturday, with the top four teams in each division advancing to a match play bracket on Sunday. Teams that do not advance to the match play bracket will also have the option to participate in a 9-hole Shootout on Sunday.

We are excited to see our four Carolinas teams take on the next challenge and represent the Section in Tennessee. Until then, congratulations to all of our 2026 PGA Jr. League All-Stars on an incredible season and a memorable Section Championship!

Good luck, All-Stars!
