Charlotte, NC – October 2, 2025 – The 9th Annual Henderson Charity Classic, hosted by Gerald and Nilou Henderson, successfully raised over $136,000 on Monday, September 22, 2025, at The Club at Longview. The golf tournament brought together 22 teams, each consisting of four golfers paired with a fifth celebrity player, totaling 110 participants, all united in supporting youth development programs through The Make Change Reserve and the PGA REACH Carolinas Foundation.
The scramble format created an exciting day of competition, culminating with the top three teams advancing to a playoff hole to determine the tournament champion. The winning team, represented by Joe Maus of Joe Maus Auto Group, Carolina Steel Sports Bar, and Tap & Vine, fought through three playoff holes to earn the victory. The event has established itself as a premier charitable golf tournament in the Charlotte area, consistently attracting participants who value both competitive play and community service.
