Charlotte, NC (October 6, 2025) – The 7th Annual Harvick4Heroes PGA REACH Charity Pro-Am presented by SoundGear brought together community, competition, and a shared mission at Trump National Golf Club – Charlotte. With 21 teams teeing off in Monday’s shamble-format event, players enjoyed perfect fall weather, exciting golf, and the opportunity to connect with local Veterans from PGA HOPE (Helping Our Patriots Everywhere).
The field included 84 amateur players paired with PGA Professionals, who together competed in 18 holes of stroke play. Tee gifts for participants included Cleveland wedges, Srixon golf balls, Turtleson apparel, and a special item from the Kevin Harvick Foundation. Cleveland Golf also hosted a pre-round wedge demo and warmup session, while Sandbagger and SoundGear added energy with on-course activations.
The 2025 Pro-Am, along with the PledgeIt online auction, raised vital funds to support both the Kevin Harvick Foundation and PGA REACH Carolinas Foundation, ensuring more Veterans, youth, and diverse communities across the Carolinas have access to the game of golf. The entire event raised over $280,000 for both foundations, and since its inception, this event has raised $1.5 Million for both charities!
Beyond the competition, the heart of the event shined through the stories shared by PGA HOPE Veterans. Participants were welcomed onto the third hole by PGA HOPE Pineville Graduates: Butch Sheets (Army), Tim Hammer (Army), Daniel McKillop (Army), Curtis Croft (Marine Corps), and Michael Dexter (Navy). Their experiences underscored the impact PGA REACH Carolinas continues to have across its three mission pillars: Youth, Military, and Inclusion.
Following play, teams and guests gathered for a lively post-round reception on the back lawn overlooking the 18th green. A live and online auction featured exclusive PGA and NASCAR packages, highlighted by a custom E-Z-GO golf cart “bought” with a Hole-in-One, unique items, and premium golf foursomes.
The Rolling Hills team consisting of PGA Professional Tyler Lucas and Warren Vigus (a) Michael Fawley (a), Quinton Teal (a), and Michael Holdenrid (a) went low, winning a scorecard playoff at 32-under. Congratulations to Michael Holdenrid who aced the 7th Hole to win the custom E-Z-GO Golf Cart!
Special thanks go to presenting sponsor SoundGear, as well as our supporting sponsors, Cleveland/Srixon and Sandbagger, for their continued commitment to this event. Gratitude also goes to the outstanding staff at Trump National Golf Club – Charlotte, including host PGA Professionals Cory Head, Trevor Potts, Adam Oser and John Feeny, for delivering an exceptional experience for all involved.
