Charlotte, NC – On July 18, 2022 (7) teams took on Charles T. Myers in the 13U division, and (6) teams in the 17U division. After an impressive round, 13U Charlotte 3 League coached by Brent Reneau & Mike Abate made it through with a score of 87 (28-29-30). The 17U division winner, Tanglewood League Team #1, was coached by Daniel Byrd with a score of 59 (29-30). Bob Brooks’ 17U Greensboro League punched the last ticket to the next round as a result of a tiebreaker 73 (36-37-38).
In the event of a tie, the PGA Jr. League Rules Committee uses the aggregate team total of all three group scores to determine a winner. Due to this ruling, the 17U Greensboro League team prevailed, winning by 3 strokes to claim the qualifying position from the event to advance to the PGA Jr. League Section Championship.
Clayton, NC – At Pine Hollow Golf Club on July 21, 2022, (10) 13U teams and (4) 17U teams competed for their Section Championship slot. Zack Stuart’s 13U Bentwinds League advanced with a strong score of 95 (29-32-34). Zack Stuart’s 17U Bentwinds CC team also took first place. They made every shot count with a score of 71 (34-37). 17U Pine Hollow GC coached by Johnny Scott took the last Section Championship slot with a score of 72 (36-36).

Clemmons, NC – July 25, 2022 was a long day out on the Tanglewood Park Golf Course for (9) different 13U teams. Winston Salem 2 League Team #1 coached by Kevin Martin took the hardware home though with a score of 108 (35-36-37).
Southern Pines, NC – The final 13U team to advance to the 2022 PGA Jr. League Section Championship at Mid Pines Inn & Golf Club was determined on Monday, August 1, 2022. Tom Mason’s Par Tee League Team 1 advanced with a score of 92 (29-31-32). Good luck to all qualifiers at Mid Pines Inn & Golf Club!
