Drive, Chip & Putt

THE JOURNEY TO AUGUSTA STARTS HERE!

Drive, Chip & Putt is a free nationwide junior golf development competition aimed at growing the game by focusing on the three fundamental skills employed in golf. By tapping the creative and competitive spirit of girls and boys ages 7-15, Drive, Chip & Putt provides aspiring junior golfers an opportunity to play with their peers in qualifiers around the country. Participants who advance through local, sub-regional, and regional qualifying in each age/gender category earn a place in the National Finals, which is conducted at Augusta National Golf Club the Sunday before the Masters Tournament and is broadcast live by Golf Channel.

The best part of all is that it’s FREE and inclusive to ALL!

 

1. Is there a fee to participate in Drive, Chip &Putt?

There is no entry fee for any Qualifying levels of the Drive, Chip & Putt Championship.

2. Is it too late to register for a local qualifier?

Entry applications must be received no later than 4 p.m. ET on the date five (5) days prior to the local qualifier.

3. Can I register my youth at more than one qualifier?

You may NOT submit more than one application for any individual to participate in the Drive, Chip & Putt Championship. If more than one application is submitted for a participant, all applications will be rejected.

4. Is my youth in the correct age bracket?

The age bracket is based upon the participant’s age as of the date of the current qualifying season’s National Finals. Boys and girls will compete in separate divisions in four age categories: 7-9 years old; 10-11 years old; 12-13 years old; and 14-15 years old.

5. Can my youth use a caddie?

Caddies are not permitted at any of the qualifying stages. Only the participants will be allowed on the field of play.

Six (6) Carolina juniors represented the Carolinas PGA Section Drive Chip & Putt National Finals in 2025!

After phenomenal performances at the Regional Qualifier at the Golf Club of Tennessee, six Carolinas juniors competed for the National Finals in their prospective age groups  at the Drive Chip & Putt National Finals at Augusta National Golf Club on Sunday on Sunday, April 6, 2025.

A look into 2022-2023

Two Carolina natives received a berth to the Drive Chip & Putt National Finals in 2023.

Minlin Ou (Girls 7-9) from Shelby, NC made her way to Augusta National Golf Club after qualifying at the DCP Regional Qualifier at Quail Hollow Golf Club. More about Ou’s path to Nationals can be found HERE.
