A message from your Area Director, Marshall Stott, PGA:

Over the past couple months everyone in our area has been affected by Hurricane Florence in some way. The helping hand amongst neighbors has been truly amazing to witness through this time in all of our communities. The support and communication Jeff Abbot and our section has provided makes me believe we are without a doubt the strongest PGA Section in the country!! I hope with time and improving weather all of our facilities, homes and lives will get back to normal soon.

The last few months Sara Bush has been working very hard to secure a date for the Folds of Honor Marathon Golf Day.  Through the help of Jason Cherry and the staff at The Country Club of Landfall the event will be held on Monday, December 3rd.  This will be a golf event where you will play as many holes as possible from sun-up until sundown.  If you would like to participate please contact Sara Bush at (910)367-7715.  So far there are 10 golf professionals planning on playing but she would like to have more if possible.  This event will help raise funds to support the families of fallen or disabled military veterans.  Through Sara’s dedication to this organization she has been a major contributor to the success the Carolinas PGA has had over the years with donations.  Please take the time to be part of this great event if you can!

Hurricane Florence slowed down the process of having area events the past few months. I have had to reset and begin working on a new plan with the year coming to an end. I am presently working on 3 different events to have between now and the Carolinas Merchandise show and annual meeting. Each of these events will offer education and the opportunity to have a little competition. I will be sending an email with the dates and times in the next few weeks to each of you.
