About Ian McDade

Ian McDade is Managing Director and founding partner of The McDade Group, a Private Wealth Advisory team at Merrill based in Charlotte, North Carolina. With over 30 years of experience in financial services, Ian leads a team dedicated to serving a select group of individuals, families, and institutions with complex wealth management needs. He earned a B.S. from Hampden-Sydney College and has completed executive programs at leading business schools, including Stanford, Wharton, Harvard, and Dartmouth.

Ian serves as a Founding Trustee of the PGA Foundation for the Carolinas and as a board member of GenOne, a not-for-profit organization that partners with talented, first-generation students from under-resourced communities—helping them successfully navigate into and through college. He and his wife, Victoria, live in Charlotte with their three children.
