The PGA REACH Carolinas Foundation is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization and philanthropic arm of the Carolinas PGA Section, the largest of the 41 sections in the United States of America. Our 2,000 members across North and South Carolina are committed to serving our communities and growing the game of golf through our three pillars- Youth, Military, and Diversity & Inclusion.
PGA REACH Carolinas youth involves three main organizations, Drive Chip & Putt Championship, PGA Jr. League, and the Carolinas PGA Junior Tournaments. The Carolinas PGA Section offers two large tournaments through out the year, PGA Junior Championship and the Charles Tilghman Junior Championship. Drive, Chip and Putt is a free nationwide junior golf development competition aimed at growing the game by focusing on the three fundamental skills employed in golf. PGA Junior League is a fun, social, and inclusive opportunity for boys and girls, ages 13 & under, to enjoy the game of golf.
PGA HOPE Carolinas (Helping Our Patriots Everywhere) is an adaptive golf program offered by our PGA Professionals as a rehabilitation tool to improve our veterans' quality of life by enhancing their mental, social, physical, and emotional well-being. There is NO COST to our veterans. With your support, we serve our veterans at eleven locations in North and South Carolina with an emphasis on helping those with physical and emotional disabilities that would most benefit from our initiative.
DIVERSITY & INCLUSION
With one of the most diverse workforces in golf, the Carolinas PGA strives to ensure that the future of golf mirrors that of our America. The Sara “Sunny” Harris Hutchinson PGA WORKS Fellowship program is intentionally focused on engaging a diverse demographic of participants. Ultimately, PGA REACH Carolinas desires to establish a network of diverse talent who are prepared to ascend to key employment positions in the game and business of golf.
