HUNTER & KLASING TAKE PRO-OFFICIAL (Bluffton, SC) – The team of Scott Hunter, PGA Head Professional and Paul Klasing, Board Member at Wexford Golf Club in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina are the 2019 Club Car Carolinas PGA Pro-Official Champions! The Championship took place at the beautiful East Course of Belfair, host of this year’s PGA Professional Championship back in April. The format of the event consisted of a Carolinas PGA Professional teaming up with an official (Board Member, General Manager, President, etc.) from their club or facility and taking the net best ball of the two for each hole.

The event was rescheduled back in September when Hurricane Dorian forced a postponement from the original host, Kiawah Island Club’s River Course. Belfair was gracious enough to take on the event and put on a great show for the contestants. Unfortunately, the original field of 72 teams was lessened to 35 teams due to the rescheduling.

Hunter and Klasing were a great match, making 7 birdies and no bogeys on their way to a 7-under 64. The team of Bobby Donnellan, PGA Head Professional and Troy Sanders, General Manager at Crowfield Golf Club in Goose Creek, South Carolina also carded a 64, forcing a chip-off playoff to determine our champions. Hunter and Klasing just edged out Donnellan and Sanders in the chip-off, solidifying their crown as 2019 Club Car CPGA Pro-Official Champions.

The event featured several Section partners who supported the event with tee gifts and contests. Below are the winners of the closest-to-the-hole contests during the round:
