Gus Ulrich, PGA Earns Spot in 2017 Senior PGA Professional Championship

Congratulations to Carolinas PGA Professional, Gus Ulrich (Whispering Pines, NC), who recently earned himself a spot in the 2017 KitchenAid Senior PGA Championship. Gus was one of 264 players who competed in the 28th Senior PGA Professional Championship (Presented by GolfAdvisor & Mercedes-Benz) at PGA Golf Club in Port St. Lucie, Florida on November 17-20. He tied for 7th place with a four round playing total of 280 (-8), earning a spot in the top 35 who will advance to next year’s Senior PGA Championship. He posted scores of 68, 70, 70 and 72 finishing just behind Mike Northern of Colorado Springs.  For finishing in the top 15, Gus also receives enough points to earn the title as the 2016 Carolinas PGA Tommy Card Senior Player of the Year. Gus captured the title of Carolinas PGA Senior Professional Champion at the CPGA Senior Championships held at Daniel Island Club in July.  He is currently Director of Instruction at Pinewild Country Club of Pinehurst and Golf Coach at Sandhills Community College.
