Carolinas PGA Member Volunteers at the PGA Championship
Quail Hollow Club, Charlotte, NC August 7-13
We still need volunteers for the PGA Championship! Thank you to those who have already signed up. If you have not signed up and would like to help – please contact Kurt Battenberg (email@example.com) and he will follow up with you.
Carolinas PGA Section Members have the unique opportunity to volunteer at the PGA Championship at Quail Hollow inside the ropes providing assistance to tour players and spectators! We will have three areas to cover during the week of the championship: the driving range, the putting and short game area, and the starting boards during practice rounds. We will need 82 volunteers to each cover two shifts in order to fill all of our positions. Each volunteer will be asked to cover one shift on the driving range and one other shift on either the starting boards or the practice area. The shifts will last roughly 4.5 to 5 hours and can be on separate days or on the same day, if preferred.
This opportunity is reserved for Carolinas PGA Section Members first. If we are unable to fill all positions by June 1 with our Class A Members, we will then offer the opportunity to our Apprentices and to PGA Members from other sections.
Volunteers will receive MSR credit and a PGA Championship memento, a Championship Polo shirt, and a hat to wear while working.
We will provide additional information regarding arrival times, parking, meals, etc. as the event nears.
If interested, please contact Kurt Battenberg.
Don’t miss out on this opportunitee of a lifetime!
