Become a PGA Professional
Pathways to PGA Membership
There are three pathways that lead to PGA membership:
- PGA PGM Apprentice Program
- PGA Golf Management University Program
- Test-out option for current and former LPGA members
While the apprentice and university programs differ in significant ways, both pathways require completion of the same PGA PGM curriculum, work experience, PGA Playing Ability Test, and employment or internship requirements.
The courses cover content and activities every PGA Professional should know and be able to demonstrate when they enter the profession as a PGA member.
The Reciprocity test-out option is available for either current or former LPGA Class A Tour Player members or current LPGA Class A Teaching and Club Professional division members only.

Your Profile and Account Settings have not changed. You can find them here.
You are now in control of the content you see. Change your view, and even pick the type of content you want to see in your feed in your Content Preferences.
Your newsfeed presents you with the most relevant topics in real time. These topics are controlled by your Content Preferences and your Connections—not PGA Headquarters.
Leverage the most valuable component of the PGA—your fellow Members. Like Facebook or LinkedIn, your connections will improve the content you see on PGA.org, and they will help you build your personal brand and network.
Have articles and resources you use all the time? Want to read something later? Save them directly down to your personal file. You can access your Saved Articles from any page via the star at the bottom of the screen.
This is the new "Edit" tab. Fields that you can edit have a white background. Fields that are greyed out require using the Online Change Form for changes.
Clicking the Online Change Form link will direct you to the page where you can make the necessary changes.
